Hello there. I googled Puffy Eyes and this pic came up. But I was actually wondering if you knew why the eye swelled up like that? Because this same thing happened to my son at 2 years old and the doc’s never found a reason why. Which I was not satified with but it went down after about 4 days of being in the hospital and strong antibotics. I was just curios. Thanks…Sandra
I am now 15 but at the start of the year (2009) I got a infection, and my eye got like that, it was so swolen that my eye was completly closed. it got better with time, like it pased 1 or 2 months until it got all better.
my sister actually got a puffed up eye like that and the doctors never found out why either and i was wondering why that happened im actually doing a project on it for school. and i need to know what caused it. thanks, zoe
I Just Came Across This Trying To Find Some Research For My Mom Who Looks Like She Might Have The Same Problem. Yet The Doctors Dont Know What Is Causing This. She Has Been Waking Up With Puffy Eyes And The Other Day Her Hands Were Swollen Too And Couldn’t Even Bend Her Hands To Touch Her Palm But It Seems They Go Away On Their Own Mysteriously And Reappear Sometime Soon. Now She Doesn’t Believe Its A Food Allergy Because It Would Have Spread All Over Her Body And She Would Be Itchy.
I Was Wondering , What Kind Of Infection Was This? And What Kinda Of Antibiotics Did They Give You?
We never found out what caused the puffy eyes – nor did Izzie receive any treatment other than antihistamine.
I suspect this could have been caused by her touching the cat then rubbing her eyes. Having said that, it never occurred again and we still have the same cat 10 years later….
I have had a similar thing occur with different moisturisers, so perhaps consider cosmetics, shampoos etc.
My husband gets a terrible rash from laundry soaps.
Sorry i can’t be more helpful.
Good luck figuring out.
The medical profession can be quite unhelpful with these left field issues.
