Peter recently wrote and recorded the score for a short film “A Cup of Hemlock”.
I first saw the film with “unclean” dialogue and no sound effects or music. I struggled to make sense of it and could not imagine what it “should” sound like.
To build an emotional landscape where none exists; to connect with the audience and draw them in; to complete the story through sound is a truly amazing feat.
I take my hat off to composers as they touch our emotions and bring stories to life.
After departing my corporate job in December 2011 I’ve pondered what I really want to do.
What do I love, how do I love to spend my time? How can I pay the bills?
I get two very different answers to these questions.
Have I found my passion? I think I have. My passion is exploring new ideas and thinking and sharing those ideas with others. I am passionate about Innovation and leading others to think about things differently. With my newly reclaimed time I’ve studied plenty of ideas including Memetics, Spiral Dynamics and Thought Leadership. Exploring new thinking and new ideas deeply inspire me and one day I hope to build on these areas and inspire others with my ideas. In the meantime, I’m learning about online marketing, social media whilst exercising & building my mental muscles.
I’ve been working on Pete’s web presence and linking him into the social media scene. If you have time, check out Peter’s site and watch out for his first single release. The film clip (to be released on the 14th of April) is brilliant, if I do say so myself 🙂
So with my new direction I decided it was time to dust off the old blog theme and try something new…. what do you think?
